The weight of a nation....on Daniel's shoulders

Hanging up the German flag

Even Baba got into the action. She even braved the grocery store in her getup
A good and hearty German meal
Getting ready for the game to start. However, soon after the game began the weight was just too much for Daniel to handle.
Daniel's love for his country quickly turned to hate. "Nobody likes a loser,"he said.
These pictures were literally taken 20 seconds after the game had ended. (Notice that all the decorations have been taken down).
To get a better idea of just how enraged he was, just click to enlarge.

Not quite an Oldsmobile, but it will do

As some of you may know, Daniel is always on the look out for a more reliable vehicle. However, he's very particular about retaining the kind of engine power his Oldsmobile Sport had to offer...
...Today he finally found what he was looking for.

Go Germany!

Cheering on Germany! Go Ballack
Saturday morning Daniel decided it would be fun to make one of his "improvisational" recipes- "Apple cinnamon and raspberry jam tacos"
Elizabeth thought they where so good she spit her first bite out in the garbage. Daniel however stayed true to his vision and ate an entire 'taco.'

A Day in the Sun

Stopping for some good home cooking

We had to post something...p.s. these are not pictures from our television

If anybody comes to visit us in Salt Lake, we'll take you to a local favorite...Bob's Brainfreeze for some flavored shaved ice.
Daniel can't get enough of the Peach Razz flavor.
These are Daniel's famous Potato Pancakes (US patent #DCP2347)
Tuesday night Daniel and Baba cheered on the victorious Boston Celtics!
Baba finally came over to the green side, mostly due to the impending humiliation she would have to endure.

Wii Party

Friday night we had a little Wii party at Elizabeth's apartment. The Wii was a big hit, and definitely the life of the party.
Some good Mormon folk...
And some more
Playing baseball
Daniel trying to beat Thomas online
Tennis almost caused a few accidents. It's a good thing some of these people don't try real tennis

Daniel and Elizabeth's Day of Fun!

Since Elizabeth had the day off from work, we decided to fill our free day with all of our favorite things. We started the day with a nice game of basketball, and then as many of you can guess we headed up to our favorite place...Park City (aka the Outlets).
Here are some pictures of the drive up the canyon (if anyone's wondering who took the pictures, it was all Daniel)

A view of the Olympic Ski Jump area

Daniel resisted the great temptation to buy more clothes, despite the obvious lure of Eddie Bauer.
Here's a picture for all those who think making cards is fun.
We then decided to see what all the Kung Fu Panda fuss was about...
...and it was awesome.

Dinner at Trio!

Tonight we went to dinner with Elizabeth's roommate Megan.

Of course we chose this restaurant for the delicious desserts: Bailey's White Chocolate Cheesecake, Chocolate Mousse Pudding, and Blueberry Peach Cobbler.

Some good food to go with Game 3...Go Celtics!

Grilling up Freya's special chicken sandwich

Homemade cheesecakes
Daniel prefers wearable $5 Footlongs, but today we decided to eat some

Zach asked for 4 of 5, so here's 5 of 7....

Still waiting for a video of Zach shooting,
maybe he can start by making a few free-throws...

Daniel was getting bored with the NBA three-point
line so he thought he'd extend his range a little.
Next, half court.

Crock Pot Cook-Off

This weekend we decided to have a Crock Pot cook-off
Saturday night Daniel made his famous chili

Here's Daniel after a nice hearty bowl of chili
Sunday night Elizabeth took the competition to a whole other lever with Beef Bourgignon
After we went on a nice long run Saturday evening, we thought we deserved a good treat-the treat of choice was m&m McFlurries. Yum.
In honor of Erika, and Kung Fu Panda (her favorite movie), we took these pictures in remembrance.
